The Positive Behavior Intervention Support Team (PBIS) is a group that consists of the principal, the counselor, a teacher and an assistant. Oregon City School District is placing an emphasis on developing school-wide systems of support that include proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create a positive school environment.
Introducing, modeling and reinforcing positive social behavior is an important part of a student’s educational experience. Teaching behavioral expectations in all areas of the school and recognizing students for following them is our goal. The purpose of school-wide PBIS is to establish and maintain a positive school climate.
