Jennings Lodge and Candy Lane English Language Learner (ELL) students and their families gathered at Jennings Lodge to work together on a scientific inquiry project. They formed a team and built towers out of recycling materials such as cardboard of all sizes, plastic lids and bowls, and toilet paper rolls. Their task was to either construct the tallest and most structurally sound tower or build a tower that is the most creative. The winners were a super tall and strong structure and a pile of recycling turned into a Christmas tree complete with a snow flake and wrapped presents. Afterwards, families gathered for a spaghetti dinner and awards were given to the teams.
