Books/Videos relating to guidance lessons taught this past year:

  • Have You Filled A Bucket Today?  A great little book encouraging kids to make other people happy by “filing their bucket”.  English copies of the book and one Spanish copy can be found at Clackamas County Library.

Also check out -- the official website for “Bucket Fillers” – which has lots of resources for kids and families.

  • Howard B. Wigglebottom books.  “Howard” is an active bunny who is learning all sorts of life lessons, including a few we discussed in classes about honesty, sportsmanship, and learning who to trust.

Go to this website: for online videos of Howard’s books, songs, parenting supports, etc.!

  • Kathryn Otoshi books, which can be found at the Clackamas County Library.  Her books Zero, One, and Two offer simple but profound lessons in standing up for oneself, learning to value yourself, and getting along with friends.

  • Trudy Ludwig books, which can be found at the Clackamas County Library.  Her books, including Sorry, The Invisible Boy, and Trouble Talk discuss important lessons about getting along with others, and the value of every person.
